I did it! I did it! I did it!
Thats right folks, thanks to some help from some lovely, lovely people...I finally got a picture posted on my profile....bells are ringing and the heavens are shining down on my blog right now...damn, I am sooooo proud of me right now..so thank you to clint, (I am forever in your debt for going slow so I could keep up with you hahahah) egan, todd, and whoever else got caught up in the tangled mess that it trying to teach me something new...I love you one and all.(and if you threw some comments in that helped and I forgot to mention you, I am sorry, but I am too lazy to go back and look at all of the individual comments on people blogs to find out!hahahaha

So anyway, Happy turkey day everyone! Here's hoping that you didn't have to go through too much family drama. I, of course, had the usual dueling sisters and whispered comments behind peoples backs to deal with..dammit mom, stop bad mouthing your kids so much...lol. Seriously though, I am happy to report that my family is still as fucked up as ever, and that will probably be the case for years to come, so don't worry fellow bloggers, I will have many more tales of idiocy to tell!

Around the dinner table

"Mom, this gravy looks funny" says my spoiled brat daughter
"Honey, Grandma worked very hard on this gravy so just eat it dammit!!" I say.
"But mommmmmmm...there is chunky stuff all in it!"
This comment is followed by viscious whispering of threats of great bodily harm if she doesn't shut the hell up and just eat!!
"Is there a problem over there you two?" my mom asks.
"Oh no mom" I say
"Yeah grandma, the gravy is....."
at this point, I am kicking her under the table for all I am worth...my mom thinks she is a great cook, and we have gone to considerable trouble to hold up this lie over the years. I wasn't gonna let hell brat fuck it up for the rest of us!! (My mom tends to take criticizing of any kind very hard, so we, as a family, have decided to just lie our asses off when it comes to little things like funky chunky gravy and dry as sandpaper turkey. Oh yeah , it has been a real mother fucker some times to hold up the ever growing pile of shit, but we always seem to do it none the less! Maybe its cause we are all just a bunch of damn liars to begin with,,,ya think?????
